The purpose of this job is to manage and promote community lending products and activities throughout the Trustmark National Bank service area, with a focus on assisting borrowers in low to moderate and majority-minority census tracts to originate mortgage loans.

The purpose of this job is to operate under the guidance of Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager in the day-to-day activities of the Commercial Real Estate Department, while developing/building the skills necessary to progress as a Portfolio Manager. Other purposes are to assist in portfolio management, the preparation of loan packages, learning to monitor loan covenants compliance, exception reporting, clearing exceptions, loan draws, etc. And to conduct special projects as required.

This position will be responsible for creating and updating records within the Trustmark Customer Information System and/or the Trustmark deposit system. In addition, they will communicate with front line and department associates both directly and indirectly to perfect the data collected and entered into the customer system. This will include citing associates who do not collect and record the required information to meet oversight requirements. The information entered into these systems is used to service customers and assure Trustmark meets regulatory requirements such as BSA, US Patriot Act, Compliance and Bank policy. The purpose of this job is to prepare the associate for placement in future professional and management roles throughout the Enterprise Performance Management department and to provide the associate with a knowledge and understanding of the department, services, and products of Trustmark as they relate both internally and externally.
