The purpose of this job is to aid clients with service needs and provide assistance to producers in handling and processing new and renewal commercial business.


  • Market new and renewal business including proposals and update profit and loss information
  • Answer clients and insurance companies’ questions and needs by phone, mail, fax, or email
  • Issue binders and certificates of insurance
  • Keep updated suspense, expiration lists, and maintain electronic and paper files
  • Request and process policies, endorsements, audits, and cancellations including invoicing
  • Attend continuing education classes and seminars to improve insurance knowledge and management skills
  • Account rounding and cross selling actions


  • Knowledge of all commercial lines of insurance, company underwriting guidelines, and agency binding authority.
  • Self-starter, creative with good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to make informed decisions
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to train other preferred
  • High school diploma
  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a CAM I with Commercial Lines in an agency environment or insurance company or completion of Insurance Development Associate Program with 1 year experience in an agency sales support position
  • Must have Mississippi Property and Casualty license
  • CIC, ASI, CISR designation preferred
