Overview

The purpose of this job is to ensure that all telecommunication systems for the bank are implemented and operational to the utmost efficiency. This position constantly assesses needs and provides these services in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Voice Communication systems design, implementation and maintenance.
  • Project resource for telecommunications based applications (IVR, Concerto, ACD, etc.)
  • Control the reliability of the online voice communication network by monitoring the condition of voice carrier services. Perform physical planning and installation of all phone systems and PC equipment moves.
  • Report status of changes and projects to management.
  • Ensure the ongoing integrity of the Voice Communications systems by providing the best service to all users while using cost effective measures. To check and maintain a cost effective billing/inventory systems for telephone bills.
  • Work with all vendors in helping to resolve users problems and future projects.

Qualifications

  • Provide end to end support for project-based solutions.
  •  Install and support project deployments of circuits and VOIP.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and requests with business applications.
  • Support the Cisco UCS, Cisco phones and VOIP systems.
  • Follow documented work procedures and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Open approach to new technologies and expanding technical expertise.
  • Work with the IT team in enhancing current processes and solutions.
  • Participate in technology projects, quality assurance testing and other activities as assigned.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of LAN/WAN communications and connectivity.
  • Utilize different tools to monitor and map the PLS infrastructure environment.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DMVPN, MPLS, VPN, VOIP, SIP, RTP.
  • Session Border Controller and QoS (DSCP/CoS).
  • Cisco NX-OS, IOS, IOS-XE.
  • Experience with SolarWinds monitoring is preferred.
  •  Layer 3 routing Protocols, OSPF, Inter VLAN routing, BGP, VLAN’s, Netflow.
  • Knowledge of various SSL VPNs, IPSec VPNs and firewalls.
  • Experience with analyzing and interpreting system logs.
  • Ability to translate configuration specifications into working device configurations.
  • Knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology.
  • Ability to create topologies and diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
  • Vendor management of managed services and Telecom providers.   
  • Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and dependability.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate appropriately with all levels of the organization.
  • After hours availability for troubleshooting, upgrades, etc.
  • Technical and/or vocational school education. This position requires 6+ years’ experience in voice communications systems and 3+ years’ experience with TCP/IP networks.
