Overview

The purpose of this job is to prepare accurate and complete loan, security, and compliance documents and related correspondence for complex consumer loans, including all real estate secured consumer loans, in accordance with the application, legal and compliance requirements, and bank policy and procedures. This job requires the ability to proficiently prepare documents for one or more market areas.

Responsibilities

  • Examine and interpret loan applications and other source documents for completeness and accuracy of data essential for appropriate categorization of loan transaction and document preparation
  • Identify missing or incomplete information necessary to prepare loan and request needed information from lender
  • Prepare loan, security, and compliance documents and related correspondence within established time frames based on application and supporting source documents by utilizing the Laser Pro automated document preparation system and other software applications
  • Determine collateral category type based on purpose, collateral, and other information shown in application
  • Determine appropriate loan styling when application and vested ownership of real estate are different
  • Determine compliant closing dates based on regulatory requirements
  • Determine HPML/Escrow requirements
  • Determine if new or existing account number should be assigned based on loan styling
  • Determine appropriate filing locations for UCCs based on collateral/borrower

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of consumer loan documentation, real estate collateral and lien perfection preferred
  • Knowledge of consumer loan compliance regulations preferred
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Display strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Provide excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office and other document management type software
  • High school diploma or GED required with two-year college education preferred
  • One year work experience in a document preparation role preferred
