Overview

The purpose of this job is to provide daily and on-going technical support of the Core Banking and Ancillary applications for Trustmark.   This requires building, standing up, testing, implementing and installing Core Banking and Ancillary applications.  This also includes any required program coding and development.  This position will work with IT Business Analysts and other Technical Analysts to execute on the technical and operational processes to be delivered by the Core Banking and Ancillary applications.     

Responsibilities

  • Codes and develops recommended technical solutions for improvements within a business department as required for implementation within the Core Banking and Ancillary Applications. Implements and installs Core Banking and Ancillary Application components, including new releases.  Applies patches and fixes needed for proper software operation.
  • Work closely with Core Banking and Ancillary Application IT BAs and TAs to plan database and program specifications and design screens and reports necessary to fulfill the information needs of the business unit.
  • Provide on-call support to trouble-shoot any issues arising from running the nightly batch cycle for the Core Banking and Ancillary Applications. Remediate issues and restore the Core Banking and Ancillary Applications into a proper state to complete processing.
  • Works with IT Business Analysts to execute test cases/scripts for Core Banking and Ancillary application changes. Perform tests of new systems and modifications to existing systems.  Observe, meet and adhere to project deadlines and schedules. Prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Under direction of a Senior TA, develop in-depth knowledge of the information needs of the business unit and the technical skills to support those needs, by regular interaction with business owners. Proactively provide project support and administrative functions. Ensure adherence to IT department standards and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to commit to working Full-Time starting June 1, 2026.
  • Four-year college education with emphasis in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Management/Business Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Hands-on programming experience in any language
  • Understanding of integration between legacy (Mainframe) applications and web-based applications.
  • Understanding of database structures and database access methodologies
  • Basic understanding of client/server, internet, intranet and mainframe systems
  • Understanding of data presentation and reporting methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire and ability to learn legacy/new technology quickly

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
