Overview

The responsibilities of this job include locating useful information about customers to assist with the collection of accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to locate information using various skip tracing sources.
  • Manage and prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely and accurate completion of requested information.
  • Review files to gain information on a customer.
  • Adhere to all legal, ethical and policy guidelines during investigations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all findings and activities.
  • Locating information on both active and charged off accounts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school education or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in banking, finance, collections or legal field
  • Knowledge of credit bureau information
  • Knowledge of bankruptcy laws
  • Knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
  • Knowledge of Federal Privacy laws
  • Analytical and research skills
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient investigative skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook

Preferred:

  • Two years collection related experience
  • Two years of skip tracking experience

 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:  Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
