Overview

The responsibilities of this position include leading the overall creative vision and development of marketing strategies and campaigns for Trustmark.  This position will direct art, copy and production functions to create innovative and impactful marketing assets that maintain the highest standards of creative excellence while driving customer/prospect engagement and insuring compliance with brand standards and financial regulatory guidelines.  

Responsibilities

  • Lead internal and external agency teams in development of creative strategies, marketing campaigns and product launches to ensure alignment with business goals and identity.
  • Lead creative project kick-offs, brainstorm sessions and develop creative briefs for agency partners and freelancers.
  • Utilize creative development tools alongside graphic designers to produce digital ads, print ads, outdoor ads, printed collateral, outdoor signage and in-branch signage designs.
  • Collaborate with media teams to identify high-impact creative units across a wide variety of digital and traditional media platforms.
  • Handle the resizing, editing and updating previously produced marketing pieces in a variety of formats.
  • Maintain the integrity of our visual identity, ensuring consistent brand messaging across all digital, print, and video materials.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, creative technologies, and marketing innovations to keep our brand at the forefront of the market.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in a creative marketing role at an agency or in a corporate marketing environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of creative design principles and marketing department processes
  • Well-versed in the use of technology to solve business problems
  • Experience leading creative teams consisting of copywriters, graphic designers, videographers, photographers, etc.
  • Ability to translate high-level strategic thinking into impactful creative marketing pieces
  • Experience leading television and radio production in conjunction with a creative agency and/or full production team
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your creative work, from concept to execution
  • Advanced understanding of graphic design and creative layout principles
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong organizational, planning, multi-tasking and project management skills
  • Must be able to work independently, without close supervision and in a team environment when applicable.
  • Ability to proactively organize, budget and prioritize a variety of projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new and changing environments.
  • Ability and willingness to work some evenings and/or weekends to respond to urgent member inquiries or company updates. 

Preferred:

  • College degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications or similar
  • Experience engaging with and managing media and creative agency partnerships
  • Comprehension of financial regulatory processes policies and procedures a plus
  • Experience with creative copywriting
  • Experience with capturing and or curating photography for marketing use

 Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:  Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
