Overview

Are you interested in a summer and fall experience which is designed to provide you with an opportunity to gain knowledge and exposure to the IT financial industry?  Would you like to participate in hands-on assignments, professional development sessions and establish a network of mentors and industry contacts?  If you're ready to participate in a well-rounded experience, a Co-Op Program with Trustmark may be the right fit for you.

 

The Co-Op Program is located in Jackson, MS.

Must be able to commit to start working June 2, 2025.

Responsibilities

As a participant in the Co-Op Program, you will complete assigned special projects within departments, working closely with department managers. You will attend designated training classes and participate in community service.  You will attend informational events within Trustmark designed to provide co-op associates with   general understanding of functional areas of the bank.  You will present an overview of department and projects worked on during co-op program; provide an evaluation of departments, projects, and the overall program. A possible career path for a Co-Op Associate is to move into a Development Associate role, then move into other roles such as Sr. Technical Analyst or Jr. Architect role, or other entry level Infrastructure or Applications roles.

Qualifications

Trustmark focuses on students who have a demonstrated strong work ethic and leadership skills through academic performance, work experience and campus involvement.  In addition, interested students should also have the following:

  • Basic programming skills in C++, C, Python, HTML,
  • Proficient use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Able to work in a team and take direction from others
  • Able to give presentations on work experience topics
  • Ability to display customer service skills
  • Ability to perform basic math and/or accounting functions
  • Enrolled in a four year or MBA program and be classified as a junior or higher.
  • Enrolled in the Undergraduate Majors:  Business Information Systems, Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Scheduled to graduate either December 2024 or May 2025
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Genuine interest in developing a career with Trustmark
