  • Overview

    The purpose of this role is to support the processes that ensure data integrity and accuracy related to the HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act) regulations, accuracy of other data that is used by the Fair Lending Analytics team, and associated HMDA data mining and analysis following the annual filing.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with the execution of analysis and monitoring procedures designed to detect fair lending risk factors and HMDA reporting inaccuracies. This will be done by performing periodic data integrity reviews of the HMDA LAR and identifying any potential fair lending violation.
    • Coordinate with and assist the HMDAII Analyst with maintaining the Loan Application Register (LAR) by performing downloads, pulling reports and capturing data to ensure the accuracy of the LAR.
    • Coordinate with and assist the HMDA Analyst in performing monthly, quarterly and annual pre-audit procedures to ensure the accuracy of the LAR and with performing quarterly audit of logic to assure the accuracy of the LAR.
    • Provide guidance to HMDA Analyst regarding accurate HMDA reporting, fair lending best practices and other issues as they arise.
    • Handle special projects assigned by the Compliance Risk Manager- Fair Lending and/or the Fair Lending Director
    • Provide back up for the other HMDA Analyst as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Advanced knowledge of the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA)
    • Advanced knowledge of federal and state banking laws and regulations
    • Advanced knowledge bank policies, practices and operations
    • Advanced Computer skills
      • Strong Excel skills
      • Database management
      • CRA Wiz experience required
    • Prior experience related to HMDA reportable loans
    • Communication skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Detail oriented, accurate, and organized
    • Multi-task oriented
    • Leaderships skills
    • Ability to train others

    • High School graduate with 5 or more years related work experience with HMDA and Fair Lending in a midsize or large bank

    • 4 year college degree with 3 or more years related work experience with HMDA and Fair Lending in a midsize or large bank or

    • 2 year college degree with 4 or more years related work experience with HMDA and Fair Lending in a midsize or large bank
