  • Overview

    The Human Resources Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational direction for corporate wide functions and activities of the Human Resources department through leading and energizing a diverse team of human resources professionals and engaging with the CAO, CEO, Executive Officers, Senior Management, and the Board HR Committee on all Human Resources related issues.

    Responsibilities

    • Establishes policies and strategies to ensure management of organization’s human resources associates and activities to support corporate goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with CAO, CEO, Executive Officers, Senior Management and other managers on HR issues / Strategic planning and implementation of corporate goals
    • Provide oversight and coordination of all HR functions, i.e. Workforce Policies, Compliance, Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, HRIS, Organization Development and Training.
    • Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions.
    • Serve as the primary management liaison for the HR Committee Chairman and committee members
    • Review and approve (as needed) all position requisitions, salary changes, job offers, personnel change notices, performance management processes, incentive payments, training courses, etc.
    • Serve on Executive Management Committee and partake in Board presentations and OCC/Regulatory interactions

     

    Qualifications

    • Expert knowledge of job functions for HR, including but not limited to Workforce Relations, Benefits, Compensation, Incentives, Compliance etc.
    • Knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance requirements within the Financial services industry with particular emphasis on Federal and State regulations relating to HR
    • Operational knowledge of banking and financial services processes
    • Advanced oral and written communication skills
    • Enhanced analytical and problem solving skills
    • Interpersonal relationship skills
    • Independent strategic thinking and decision making ability

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human resources or business related field
    • Advanced degree and/or legal experience preferred
    • Experience driving successful creation and execution of comprehensive strategic initiatives
    • 10 plus years of significant managerial level experience in Human Resources environment with demonstrated ability to manage a significant number of associates
