  • Overview

    This is a first level manager for a group of IT network, telecommunications, and infrastructure security engineers responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and on-going support of the network, telecommunications, and infrastructure security systems used by the enterprise. These systems include voice systems, routers, telephony equipment, unified communications systems, Anti-Virus, patch management, intrusion detection/ prevention, firewalls, network infrastructure security, and infrastructure management and event monitoring systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform supervisory and management functions to achieve the maximum potential of the personnel within the department
    • Responsible for closely monitoring the installation, maintenance, and support of all Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention Systems, Firewall Systems, Anti-virus Systems, Anti-spyware Systems, Data Loss Prevention Systems, SIEM Systems, Network Infrastructure Security, and Enterprise Patch Management systems
    • Work daily with other departments within Trustmark as well as vendors and/or external departments to provide accurate security configurations and patch deployment
    • Keep management abreast of all security programs by having open lines of both written and verbal communication
    • Review regulating polices, develop ongoing support, and use proper reporting techniques to insure standards and policies that govern the security team are diligently followed

    Qualifications

    • Knowledge of Financial Sector security requirements and ability to interpret federal laws and regulations that govern IT Security in financial organizations (SOX, GLBA, HIPPA, FFEIC, and NIST) is preferred.
    • Knowledge of security best practices and remediation techniques and systems.
    • Knowledge of Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Prevention Systems and techniques
    • Knowledge of Firewall systems
    • Knowledge of Patch Management processes and procedures to address effective patch management
    • Knowledge of Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems
    • Knowledge of software distribution and automation for Windows environments
    • Knowledge of ITIL and infrastructure tools management
    • Knowledge of security best practices for hardening of Cisco Network Infrastructure Component
    • Ability to use administrative and security expertise for both workstation and server platforms
    •  Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Ability to use advanced analytical skills
    • Leadership ability that can manage/coach a group of associates to reach specific goals
    • B.S Degree in IT or business related field with at least 5 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure and security teams.

    • Security certifications preferred
    • Security Experience in the Financial Industry preferred
    • Experience with Cisco networking preferred
    • Experience in Data Loss Prevention Solutions preferred
    • Experience in Web Application and Database Security Practices preferred
    • Experience with IT infrastructure management tools preferred

       

      Also, experience in two or more of the following required:
      • Experience using project management methodologies
      • Experience with vulnerability assessment of networks, operating systems, and applications
      • Experience with firewalls and proxies
      • Experience in virus prevention and remediation
      • Experience in software distribution and scripting of packages in support of patch management programs
      • Experience with Enterprise Management tools
