  • Overview

    Manages and directs the bank’s CRA/Community Development Programs and is responsible for the coordination of community development activity in support of the bank’s overall community support initiatives to ensure a Satisfactory CRA rating.

    Responsibilities

    Administration of CRA compliance:

    • Manage the CRA and Community Development reporting function
    • Develop/Manage an infrastructure that will continue to evolve processes and procedures that support CRA initiatives
    • Provide leadership while maximizing resources and driving superior performance
    • Direct and monitor CRA activities throughout the bank’s footprint
    • Direct the various products and services available from outside partners (FHLB programs etc.)

    Analysis of CRA compliance:

    • Develop and present management reports
    • Coordinate ongoing lending analysis of delineated assessment areas in conjunction with local CRA Coordinators/Market Presidents
    • Recommend strategies to achieve lending/investment/services within local markets where deficiencies are identified
    • Analyze projections and direct resources to respond to identified local needs
    • Gather and organize all information necessary for the bank to comply with Lending, Investment and Service tests of CRA examinations

    Develop community relationships to insure CRA compliance:

    • Develop relationships with local, regional and national community groups, governments, and organizations that have capacity for business relationships with the bank
    • Partner/Participate with local groups/organizations whose mission(s) is to support community and economic development

    Develop internal relationships to insure CRA compliance:

    • Work with all lending areas of the bank to ensure their respective activities/programs support the requirements for the Lending test
    • Work with Chief Investment Officer and Public Affairs to ensure adequate investments and contributions are made to fulfill the requirements of the Investment test
    • Work with the CRA Coordinators and Market Presidents to ensure that all community development services are fully documented to fulfill the requirements of the Service test

    Oversee bank’s mortgage initiatives in targeted areas/to a targeted population to achieve CRA goals:

    • Direct efforts to provide homebuyer education
    • Manage process to assure mortgage efforts in all markets are in compliance with CRA

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
    • Five years experience directing CRA activity work preferably in a large bank environment.
