Overview

The purpose of this job is to administer employee benefits trusts.  This includes handling plan investments, ensuring plans are in compliance with applicable regulations, and preparation and interpretation of plan documents.  Works with very complex plans with 150+ employees.

Responsibilities

  • Ongoing contact with customers on the phone and face-to-face to ensure satisfaction with our investment and retirement plan services.  Customers include plan sponsors and plan participants.
  • Educate participants on investments and plan features.  Employee education is in the form of large and small group meetings.
  • Interpret and design retirement plan documents
  • Monitor investments in daily and non-daily plans
  • Account retention as required by Pinnacle sales goals and new business development
  • Review and approve receipts and disbursements from plans
  • Monitor fees.  Review trial balances for non-daily accounts – check transactions, monitor cash balances and eliminate overdrafts

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of the investment arena
  • Extensive knowledge of IRS rules and regulations regarding retirement plans
  • Extensive ERISA knowledge required
  • Be able to work with customers and participants that have daily valuation retirement plans, as well as those with non-daily valued retirement plans
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  (Must be able to communicate with high net worth customers and their employees)
  • Must have good management skills
  • Must have good organizational skills
  • Position requires a very responsible, dependable, detail oriented, accurate and precise individual
  • Four year college education or direct related work experience
  • 5+ years of work experience in the retirement plan market and/or investment arena
  • Series 6 or Series 7 and a Series 63 securities license preferred
